In 1971 Richard Kennedy started Midwest Specialties Inc., a government contracting manufacturing business. To help with some manufacturing projects, he designed a tapping arm to increase speed and efficiency when tapping holes off of his NC machining centres.
As he perfected the design of the arm, the motor, and tooling it quickly turned into an essential tool in the shop. The FlexArm was first displayed at the 1986 IMTS trade show. This was their first machine tool launch and it is now well known as FlexArm.
Each arm is assembled in-house by their manufacturing engineers and highly trained team. During the assembly process, these highly trained professionals will test the functionality of each part, making any necessary adjustments. When the machine is in the hands of our customers, we want it to be ready to start production and make you money!
