CASE STUDY
We were contacted by a manufacturing customer who was having problems caused by lack of, and loss of inventory. Engineers were unable to access the parts they needed as stock had become disorganised, making it difficult to check, find & re-stock.
SOLUTION
The customer asked us to put their Air Fittings & Fasteners into SBLscan, and requested new storage – Ultimately choosing a ‘Twin-Bin’ system, which has the advantage of separating each SKU into an active stock & a reserve stock section. We established min-max levels and identified the customer’s current stock profile. We then installed the new storage system and labelled the bins for scanning.
OUTCOME
A member of our team visits three times weekly, scanning the barcode on any SKUs falling below minimum level. The engineers now have a reliable source of parts. They do not have to worry about maintaining levels, and can quickly find what they need, when they need it.
